Haryana poll outcome a verdict on Rahul's failed leadership: MP CM Yadav

With the BJP racing ahead in Haryana as per the early trends, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the imminent defeat of Congress is a testimony to the failed leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Even Congressmen don't consider Rahul Gandhi as their leader, said Yadav as the BJP looks comfortably placed, leading in 50 of the 90 assembly seats in Haryana, counting for which is underway. "While campaigning in Haryana, I had said that Rahul Gandhi (Opposition leader in Lok Sabha) would fail for the third time. People know it well that his leadership is not liked even by Congressmen," Yadav told PTI. He said the Haryana poll outcome reflects the people's trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the development agenda of the double-engine government. "People rejected Congress on the development issue and the language they used. The lotus (BJP symbol) will bloom for the third time in Haryana," Yadav said. He said the people of Haryana reacted positively to the sloga

Will protect Constitution that gives Bahujans their rights: Rahul Gandhi

The Congress will protect that Constitution that gives Bahujans their rights but true inclusion and equality for all in the society will be possible only when every Indian strives with the spirit of brotherhood in their hearts, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said on Monday. Gandhi shared a video on his social media handles of his recent interaction at a Dalit household where he helped out in cooking a meal in their kitchen. "Even today, very few people know about Dalit kitchens. As Shahu Patole said, 'Nobody knows what Dalits eat.' Intrigued by what they eat, how they cook, and its social and political significance, I spent an afternoon with Ajay Tukaram Sanade and Anjana Tukaram Sanade," Gandhi said in his post in Hindi on X along with the video. "They honored me by inviting me to their home in Kolhapur, Maharashtra to help out in the kitchen. Together we cooked 'chane ke saag ki sabzi '? 'harbharyachi bhaji', and 'tuvar dal' with brinjal," the former Congress .

BJP stoking communal tensions in Goa; attempts will not be tolerated: Rahul

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday accused the BJP of deliberately stoking communal tensions in Goa and asserted that the ruling party's attempts will not go unchallenged as the people of the state and the whole of India "see through this divisive agenda". In a post on X, Gandhi said Goa's appeal lies in its natural beauty and the warmth and hospitality of its diverse and harmonious people. "Unfortunately, under BJP rule, this harmony is under attack. The BJP is deliberately stoking communal tensions, with a former RSS leader provoking Christians and Sangh organisations calling for an economic boycott of Muslims," the former Congress chief said. Across India, similar actions by the Sangh Parivar continue with impunity, backed by support from the highest levels, he alleged. "In Goa, the BJP's strategy is clear: divide the people while exploiting ecologically sensitive areas by illegally converting green land and bypassing environmental regulations - an assa

JP Nadda says Rahul talks like urban Naxals, calls Congress 'power-hungry'

BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Saturday said the Congress is a "power hungry" party, it has no "Sanskar" and its leader Rahul Gandhi is speaking the language of urban naxals, which was unfortunate. Addressing a gathering of the party workers on the occasion of inauguration of the newly built office of the BJP at Nahan, the district headquarter of Sirmour in Himachal Pradesh, Nadda said the BJP is not a political party merely to fight elections and rule the country but it is an "ideological establishment" that has a vision for the country. Five generations have dedicated their lives to bring the BJP's ideology to the present "shining" level. Many heads of foreign countries and ambassadors came to the BJP headquarter at Delhi to enquire about the "ideological rise" of the biggest political party of the world, he said. He said the Congress came into existence to fight for the country's freedom and after Independence, Mahatma Gandhi had suggested to disband

BJP's 'unemployment crisis' endangers youth's future in Haryana: Rahul

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha on Friday alleged that the "disease of unemployment" spread by the BJP has put the security of Haryana and the future of the youth in "deep danger", and asserted that a Congress government will ensure that employment returns and every family is prosperous in the state. Gandhi shared on X a video of his interaction with a group of women during his recent Vijay Sankalp Yatra. Along with the video, he said in his post on X, "The disease of unemployment spread by BJP has put the roots of Haryana, the future of the youth and the security of the state in deep danger." "Some sisters of Haryana gave shelter during the Vijay Sankalp Yatra, fed homemade rotis with great love and also explained the complex problems of the state," Gandhi said. Today, Haryana has the highest unemployment in India, he said. "The reason for this is - BJP has broken the backbone of every system that provides employment to the youth of the state in a decade," he alleged. The

Received representation on Rahul Gandhi's citizenship: Govt to Allahabad HC

The central government on Monday informed the Allahabad High Court that it has received a representation filed under the Citizenship Act 1955 alleging Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had British citizenship. However, Deputy Solicitor General of India SB Pandey sought more time to place before the high court bench the status of action on the representation moved by S Vignesh Shishir. Justices Rajan Roy and Om Prakash Shukla of the Lucknow bench had asked the Centre to apprise the court of the status of the representation after Shishir, a BJP worker hailing from Karnataka, filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) stating that no action has been taken by the Centre in the matter. The bench fixed October 24 for next hearing. In the PIL, the petitioner claimed that he made detailed enquiries into the issue of Rahul Gandhi being a British citizen and had several new inputs. He claims to have accessed confidential emails from the UK Government and these
