Varanasi, April 23 (ANI): On his way to file his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday stepped up his attack on BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. During his roadshow, Kejriwal condemned their helicopter politics and criticized the condition of Varanasi's infrastructure and spoke about citizens' problems. He also talked about Gandhi's constituency saying all the people of Amethi see the Congress vice-president in his helicopter only and when people go to him in Delhi they are beaten up and driven away.
Rae Bareli, April 23 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday tried to woo voters in Rae Bareli and slammed BJP indirectly for its single man leadership. Priyanka also raised the issue of women empowerment saying that women have their own individual identity. She further made the voters aware that before polls many leaders come to give speeches but common man should use its power and question back the leaders asking what they will do for public welfare. Priyanka also expressed faith that people of Rae Bareli will make Sonia Gandhi win from the constituency because she has done a lot of work for them.
Guwahati, April 23 (ANI): A day after a video showing AAP leader Shazia Ilmi sitting amongst a group of Muslims and saying that "Muslims would have to be communal" sparked controversy, the AAP leader came out to clarify that she used the secular and communal words in an ironic manner. She added that her remark has been distorted and misconstrued.
Chhattisgarh/ Uttar Pradesh/ Maharashtra, April 23 (ANI): Security forces across various states in India held marches as a safety measure for the sixth phase of polling in the ongoing general election. The sixth phase of election will be held on April 24 where voters of 117 constituencies in nation's 11 states and one Union Territory would go to polls. Police Commissioner of Mumbai, Rakesh Maria, said the police are totally prepared to hold free and fair elections in the western city. Meanwhile, Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh, Sunil Kujur said 10.18 million people will vote for seven parliamentary constituencies in the province on April 24.

Pathak along with BJP workers conducted rituals at a temple and prayed for smooth journey of Modi to become the prime minister. The Modi look alike said that he has been touring different states in eastern, western and northern parts of India since over two months now. New Delhi, April 22 (ANI): Congress slammed Narendra Modi's tweet wherein he asked the 'BJP well wishers' should refrain from giving petty statements. Party Spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that these are crocodile tears and that Modi never took action against such acts. Meem Afzal also condemned the tweet and said that he never took any action against Praveen Togadia. Kapil Sibal said that Modi has a forked tongue and he himself does such politics for which he is asking his party to refrain from. Bhopal, April 22 (ANI): Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday severely slammed the BJP regarding the latest flaks and comments made on Congress and its associated members. Singh strongly opposed BJP leader Arun Jaitley's remark that Robert Vadra should be sent to jail asking Jaitley for valid reasons. New Delhi, April 22 (ANI): An FIR was filed against Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Chief Pravin Togadia on Monday for his alleged hate speech on Saturday where he reportedly said that Muslims should be stopped from buying property in Hindu-majority areas. Togadia has, however, denied making any such remarks and said that all this was a conspiracy against him. The election commission has sought a tape of his speech. Meanwhile, Congress came down heavily on Togadia for "spreading venom" through his remarks and said that the VHP leader should be arrested.
