Relief for Adani Group: Why did the US drop all charges against Gautam Adani

The US Department of Justice dropped all criminal charges against Gautam Adani, bringing the high-profile alleged bribery case to an end. Adani Enterprises also settled a case related to Iran sanctions violations involving LPG imports. Adani had been accused of agreeing to pay $265 million in bribes to Indian government officials to secure approvals for developing the country’s largest solar power project. In a filing before the court, the US Department of Justice requested for dismissal of the indictment "with prejudice".
