Twitter announces new features, allows users to charge for tweets with Super Follows

New Delhi, Mar 01 (ANI): American micro-blogging and social networking service Twitter recently announced a couple of huge upcoming updates, which include the ability to create and join groups based around specific interests and a feature for users to charge their followers for additional content access. According to The Verge, this new Twitter payment feature dubbed 'Super Follows' will allow users to charge followers and give them access to extra content. This could be bonus tweets, access to a community group, subscription to a newsletter, or a badge indicating your support. Twitter showed a mock-up screenshot, showing an example where a user charges USD 4.99 per month to receive a series of perks. The company views this as a way to allow creators and publishers to get paid directly from their fans. The company also announced its take on something like Facebook Groups with a new feature called Communities. People can create and join groups around specific interests like cats or plan

Sitharaman criticises Kerala budget, calls it 'questionable affair'

Shivraj Chouhan slams CM Mamata Banerjee over questioning 8-phase polls in WB

UP records 100 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours, positivity rate 0.01%

Lucknow (UP), Feb 28 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Information) Navneet Sehgal informed about the current status of the state in regards to COVID-19 fresh infections. He said that state has recorded 100 new active cases of COVID-19 in past 24 hours and 143 people have been recovered on the same duration. 5,92,699 people have been recovered and discharged till date. The positivity rate of the state is 0.01 per cent.

Madurai airport grabs second position in customer satisfaction survey

Madurai (TN), Feb 26 (ANI): Madurai airport has been ranked second in the Customer Satisfaction Survey 2020 (CSS) after competing with 56 airports of India. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) conducted the round-II of the customer care satisfaction between July and December 2020. Madurai airport jumped from fourth position in 2019 to second in 2020. Parameters on which airport was marked included overall satisfaction, access, passport control, security, amenities, environment, services and travel details.

Security heightened after explosives found near Ambani's house

Mumbai, Feb 26 (ANI): Mumbai Police deployed its personnel outside business tycoon Mukesh Ambani's house after explosive materials were found near his residence on Thursday. India to work closely with UK for early extradition of Nirav Modi: MEA

New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava on February 25 informed that Government of India in liaison with the authorities of United Kingdom for early extradition of fugitive economic offender Nirav Modi who has been ordered by a local court to be extradited to India. West Minister magistrate court in London had pronounced that Nirav Modi be extradited to stand trial in India. Anurag Srivastava said, "They have dismissed his mental health concerns and the judge has observed that Nirav Modi has conspired to destroy evidence and intimidate witnesses. Now since the magistrate court has recommended Nirav Modi's extradition to the UK Home Secretary." The Indian businessman had fled the country in early 2018 as the news of Punjab National Bank scam worth around Rs 14,000 crore surfaced.
