Kolkata, Nov 20 (ANI): As the first-ever day-night Test in India is inching closer, the venue of the match, Eden Gardens, is being decorated with pink lights. The entire stadium along with Sourav Ganguly stand and Jagmohan Dalmiya stand is being decorated for the historic match between India and Bangladesh, starting from November 22. The match will be played with a pink ball. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also be present.

SG manufacturing plant all set to deliver pink balls to BCCI

Meerut (UP), Nov 19 (ANI): India will play their 1st-ever day-night test match against Bangladesh in Kolkata from November 22. It will be the 1st instance of the SG Pink ball being used in an international match. The SG manufacturing plant in Meerut is all set to deliver the pink balls to the BCCI for the first day-night test match. The company has already given 120 pink balls for the practice sessions. SG believes that the pink ball will pass its first international test with flying colours. While speaking to ANI, SG, Marketing Director, Paras Anand said, "We are ready to deliver our pink balls to the BCCI. In the beginning, BCCI has asked to deliver 72 balls but till now we have delivered them 120 balls.

Kolkata 'day-night' test to be historic occasion: CAB secretary Dalmia

Kolkata, Nov 19 (ANI): Abhishek Dalmia, secretary of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), on November 19 said the upcoming first-ever 'day-night' test match between India and Bangladesh will be a historic occasion for the Eden Gardens. "I think every match is special and obviously the fact that for the first time a Test match is being held under lights and that says it all. It is a historic occasion. There is no doubt about it. Eden Gardens has witnessed a lot of historical occasions in the past. The first World Cup final outside India was held here and the first day and night ODI in the country was held here," Dalmia told ANI. India and Bangladesh will play their Test under lights at the Eden Gardens from November 22-26.
