Bangkok (Thailand), Nov 03 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Bangkok. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the ASEAN-India Summit. PM Modi reached Bangkok on Saturday (November 02) to participate in the ASEAN, East Asia, and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership summits. PM Modi is in Thailand on 3-day visit to attend several regional summits.

ASEAN-India leaders come together for group picture in Bangkok

Bangkok (Thailand), Nov 03 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders came together for a group picture during the 16th ASEAN-India summit in Thailand's Bangkok. State Counsellor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte and other seven leaders were present at the event. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has 11 member states including India. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising 12 countries in Southeast Asia, which promotes intergovernmental cooperation and facilitates economic, political, security, military, educational, and sociocultural integration among its members and other countries in Asia.

Nepal Prez Bidhya Devi Bhandari performs Chhath Puja rituals in Kathmandu

Kathmandu (Nepal), Nov 03 (ANI): Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari performed rituals during Chhath Puja in Nepal's Kathmandu on November 03. She offered prayers on the final day of Chhath Puja and participated in the celebration process of Chhath Mahaparv. Several devotees offered their final prayers to rising sun on the final day of Chhath Puja. Thousands of devotees thronged to banks of river bodies to offer prayers to the 'Sun God'. Chhath Puja is celebrated on the sixth day of Kartik month of Hindu calendar. Every year, the festival commences with paying obeisance to the setting sun and concludes with the rising sun.
