EAM Jaishankar meets Kuwait Foreign Minister in Baku

Baku (Azerbaijan), Oct 26 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on October 25 met Foreign Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah in Azerbaijan's Baku on the sidelines of the 18th session of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Both the dignitaries discussed issues of mutual interests concerning both countries. He also had a brief conversation with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana on the margins of the NAM summit. India is a founding member of NAM, which is one of the largest gatherings of world leaders.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu meets Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev in Baku

Baku (Azerbaijan), Oct 25 (ANI): Vice President Venkaiah Naidu met Azerbaijan President, Ilham Aliyev in Baku on October 25. Naidu also led the Indian delegation to the 18th Summit of the Non Aligned Movement (NAM) to be held in Baku. He also met Iran's President Hassan Rouhani. During his visit, Vice President will deliver the national statement at the NAM Summit and hold bilateral meetings with other Heads of States and Governments on the sidelines. Venkaiah Naidu also took a group photo along with other world leaders.

India continuously improving in ease of business ranking for last 3 years: Piyush Goyal

Japan organises Design Festa art festival

Tokyo (Japan), Oct 24 (ANI): Tokyo is well-known for its cultural and art museums, but there are also festivals where working professionals and amateurs can show their art work. Design Festa is an art festival where over 12,000 artists gather twice a year to showcase their art. Many visitors come to see the diverse art, design, and craft of the exhibitors. Some exhibitors dress in costumers and some exhibitors are playful with the visitors. Artists showing a new take on Japanese art gave live painting demonstrations as well. The festival is held in a large exhibition hall that can pack as many as 2000 booths, 6000 exhibitors in the summer, and 5000 booths, and 18,000 exhibitors in the spring, and autumn, at a larger exhibit hall. Rugby World Cup triggers local economy in Japan

Higashiosaka (Japan), Oct 24 (ANI): This long line of people is heading to the rugby stadium. Japan is hosting Rugby World Cup for the first time. Games are held in various stadiums from the northern to southern areas of Japan. At the station and town close to the stadium, volunteer staff supports visitors to take commemorative photos and guide them to stadium. "Higashiosaka City" is known as a rugby town, it has a mascot character called "Try-kun." On this day, there is an interesting rugby game, Georgia vs Fiji. "Hanazono" rugby stadium is known as the Rugby Holy Land in Japan because high school rugby tournament which has long history is held here in every year. President Ram Nath Kovind meets Bhutanese King in Tokyo

Tokyo (Japan), Oct 23 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind met Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck in Japan's Tokyo on October 23. The two leaders are on a visit to Japan to attend the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Naruhito. This is first presidential visit by an Indian president to Japan after a gap of 19 years.

2 killed in police brutality during peaceful protest in PoK's Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad (PoK), Oct 23 (ANI): Police lathi-charged on peaceful protestors and journalists in Pakistan occupied Kashmir's (PoK) Muzaffarabad on October 22. Two people have died while several others have sustained injuries in the police brutality. Eye witnesses have claimed that police tortured peaceful protestors without any provocation. Many people have been arrested by the police. Police also used tear gas on the protestors. Various political parties under the All Independent Parties Alliance (AIPA) in PoK had called for a pro-freedom rally in Muzaffarabad on October 22 to observe 'black day'. It was on this day in 1947 that Pakistani forces had invaded Jammu and Kashmir.

Women stage protest against enforced disappearances in Pakistan's Quetta

Balochistan (Pakistan), Oct 23 (ANI): Relatives of missing Baloch people, a majority of them women and children, held a protest rally in Quetta city of Balochistan on October 22 to demand immediate release of their loved ones. They demanded immediate release of their loved ones. A large number of political activists and intellectuals are being abducted allegedly by security forces from various parts of Balochistan province. Rashid Hussain was abducted from UAE and later deported to Pakistan. His mother along with other missing persons' families protested in Quetta for his safe recovery and other Baloch missing persons. An online campaign is also going using hashtag #SaveRashidHussain and #SaveBalochMissingPersons has also been launched.

The congressional hearing was completely prejudice against 15,000 Kashmiri Muslims civilians who have been killed by Pakistan, it was prejudice against 3 lakh Kashmiri pundits who were ethnically cleansed from Kashmir in 1990, it was prejudice against over 700 Kashmiri pundits who work here in Kashmir in 1990."

She spoke about the LeT killing of Kashmir based journalist Shujaat Bukhari and the proscribed terror outfits involvement in Mumbai attacks. "On 14June 2018 Shujaat Bukhari was shot dead by LeT in Srinagar, terror group banned by US that perpetrated Mumbai terror attacks. Why did they kill him? Because Shujaat wanted Pakistan to end violence and human rights abuse in Kashmir, they killed him because he wanted peace," said Singh. "The 30 years of Islamic jihad and terror in Kashmir perpetrated by Pakistan has been completely ignored and overlooked by the world press. There is no human rights activist and press in world which feels it's their moral obligation to talk about victims of Pakistani terror in Kashmir," she added.

President Ram Nath Kovind lands in Tokyo

India to spend $1.3 trillion on modern infrastructure: President Kovind in Philippines
