While addressing a press conference in Delhi, he said, "For 11 lakh railway employees, this government has consistently for last 6 years, being giving record bonus, equivalent to the wage of 78 days. This year also, 11,52,000 employees will get 78 days wage as bonus. This is the reward for productivity."
Kedarnath (Uttarakhand), Sep 18 (ANI): Army Chief General Bipin Rawat accompanied by his wife Madhulika Rawat on September 18 visited Kedarnath Temple to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. The Army Chief is also scheduled to visit Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, later in the day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited these two shrines after the conclusion of Lok Sabha polls in May.

Supporting EAM's statement he said that the people of PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan are raising their voices against Pakistan's atrocities in their respective regions. Nagpur (Maharashtra), Sep 18 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) working president JP Nadda paid tribute at Dr B R Ambedkar's Deekshabhoomi Smarak in Nagpur on September 18. Changlang (Arunachal Pradesh), Sep 18 (ANI): Eastern Air Commander Air Marshal RD Mathur and Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen Anil Chauhan landed Indian Air Force's AN-32 transport aircraft at Vijaynagar advanced landing ground (ALG) near China border. Patna (Bihar), Sep 18 (ANI): Around 10 police personnel got injured in Bihar's Patna on September 17. The incident took place after a tree fell on a police building meant for magazine storage and also on an adjacent tent that was set up for the police personnel. Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey visited the spot after mishap. Meanwhile, following heavy rainfall in the city the problem of water-logging was also reported in several parts of Patna.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached 14 industrial plots worth Rs 30.34 crore in connection with Panchkula Industrial Plots Allocation Scam. According to the ED, these 14 industrial plots were fraudulently allocated to the persons closely connected to the then CM-cum-chairman Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda).

Ludhiana (Punjab), Sep 18 (ANI): A man attempted to steal a 4-year-old child in Punjab's Ludhiana on September 17. The incident took place while the girl child was sleeping with her family members outside her residence in Ludhiana's Rishi Nagar area. However, the attempt was foiled as family members woke up and rescued the child. The accused has been arrested. The incident was captured in a CCTV camera.
Ludhiana (Punjab), Sep 18 (ANI): Commissioner of Police of Ludhiana, Rakesh Agrawal, has directed the owners of the restaurants, dhabas and bars to close down their shutters by 11:30 pm. In a meeting conducted on September 16, Agrawal gave instructions to bar and restaurant owners not to serve hookah. He asked the mall authorities to expand the security check so that nobody can enter the premises with any weapon. Apart from this, the eateries have been asked to keep a record of the people coming there. However, hotel and restaurant owners have pointed out the problem in implementing it, although asserting that they are ready to help. According to sources, during the meeting, the hotel owners have put up their problems. They said the decision comes at a time when the government is working towards making Ludhiana a smart city. It was decided that a delegation will meet state's Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Bharat Bhushan soon and will take up the issue with the government.
Srinagar (JandK), Sep 18 (ANI): Indian Army will conduct recruitment for 2780 vacancies in JAK LI regiment (Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry). It is scheduled on 3-4 October. While speaking to ANI, Commandant of JAK LI Recruitment centre Srinagar, SL Sharma, said, "ARO (Army Recruiting Office) Jammu, ARO Srinagar and JAK LI regimental center will conduct rallies to select recruits." "At JAK LI regimental center the Unit Headquarters Quota-UHQ Quota recruit rally will be conducted. Individuals who are blood relations of ex-servicemen and serving soldiers are eligible for the rally. It is scheduled on 3-4 October," he added.

Hajipir Sector (PoK), Sep 18 (ANI): The Indian Army released a video of an infiltration attempt by Pakistan's BAT (Border Action Team) in Hajipir Sector of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on 12-13 September by Pakistan Army. In this video, captured on Hand Held Thermal Imager, Pakistan infiltration or attempted BAT action bid was seen and eliminated. On 10-11 September, in Hajipir Sector of PoK, Indian troops killed a soldier Sepoy Ghulam Rasool of their Punjab Regiment from Bahawalnagar in Pakistan. In the same area, Pakistan attempted infiltration on night 11-12 September and 12-13 September. The attempt could have been from BAT action as well. The area reportedly has Pak SSG troops. These intruders were well-engaged resulting into one more Pakistan casualty on 12-13 September.
Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 18 (ANI): The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) on Tuesday organised a massive protest against the Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence, in front of the United Nations office here. Activists of the PTM from all parts of Europe gathered here to register their anger against human rights violations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the protests, the activists also noted that hundreds of Pashtuns are still missing and many have been killed by the Pakistan Army since they have launched so-called military action against terrorists in the Pashtun dominated areas. The PTM also launched a poster campaign at Broken Chair in front of the UN office and launched #StopPashtunGenocide campaign on social media. The Pashtun activists from Pakistan and Afghanistan also organised conferences and showed documentaries on Pashtun genocide at a special rant at Broken Chair.
