Musician Anand Modak passes away

Noted Marathi music director Anand Modak died here today following cardiac arrest.

He was 63.

A creative artist, Modak composed music for many films as well as stage plays which included "Mahanirvan", "Begum Barve", " Chaukatcha Raja", and " Mukta".

His innovative approach and experimentation adopted to match theme and contents of the celluloid and the theater won him accolades from the audience and critics alike.
