WNS net income up 15.6% to $13.7 million 05-NOV-09
India’s second-largest business process outsourcing company, WNS, posted a net income of $13.7 million for the second quarter ended September 30, up 15.6 per cent from $11.9 million in the corresponding quarter in the last financial year.
 
Electrotherm PAT down 20% 04-NOV-09
Ahmedabad-based Electrotherm (India) Limited has posted a net profit of Rs 10.75 crore for the quarter ended September 30, down by 20 per cent as compared to Rs 13.52 crore during the correspoding quarter previous year due to higher depreciation and interest cost.
 
West Coast Paper Mills & McNally Bharat Q2 results 04-NOV-09
The West Coast Paper Mills has posted a marginal 1.28 per cent rise in net profit after tax at Rs 23.20 crore for the quarter ended September 2009, against Rs 22.90 crore in the same period last financial year.
 
Hero Honda reports marginal increase 02-NOV-09
Hero Honda Motors on Sunday reported a marginal increase in October sales at 354,156 units against 352,449 units in the same month last year.
 
TVS sales up 12% 02-NOV-09
TVS Motor Company reported an 18 per cent jump in domestic sales of two-wheelers last month over the same period last year, at 118,563 units against 100,088 units.

Universal Cables Limited, belonging to the M P Birla group, has clocked in a net profit of Rs 6.95 crore for the quarter ended September 30, from a net loss of Rs 1.37 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
 
R-Infra net up 6.2 per cent 01-NOV-09
Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Infrastructure (R-Infra) posted a net profit of Rs 306.90 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, up 6.2 per cent over the corresponding period last financial year.
 
RCom net drops 52 per cent 01-NOV-09
Hit by foreign exchange and mark-to-market losses, the Anil Ambani group’s telecom service company, Reliance Communications (RCom), posted a 51.63 per cent fall in net profit to Rs 740.30 crore on a consolidated basis for the second quarter ended September 30.
 
SBI net rises 28% 01-NOV-09
State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest lender, today said that its consolidated net profit rose 28.29 per cent to Rs 3,133.16 crore for the quarter-ended September 30 from Rs 2,458.04 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
 
One-time charges hit HUL net 01-NOV-09
The net profit of India’s largest fast-moving consumer goods maker, Hindustan Unilever, fell in the second quarter (July to September) on a one-time charge related to a settlement with former workers.

Nava Bharat Ventures Limited, which has interests in ferro alloys, power, sugar and others, reported a 1.21 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 120.03 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared with Rs 118.56 crore during the same period last year.

Suven Life Sciences Limited, a biopharmaceutical company engaged in drug discovery and developmental activities in central nervous system (CNS), recorded a 48.03 per cent fall in its net profit to Rs 2.51 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared with Rs 4.83 crore in the same period previous year.
 
Nagarjuna Construction, Zenith Computers & SCI Q2 results 01-NOV-09
Hyderabad-based Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited (NCCL) reported a marginal 3.8 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 43.92 crore for the quarter ended September 2009, against Rs 42.30 crore posted in the same period last year.
 
Omaxe, Moser Baer & Eicher Motors Q2 results 01-NOV-09
Delhi-based real estate player Omaxe Limited registered a net profit of Rs 22.51 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 10.45 per cent up from Rs 20.38-crore profit reported during the same period in the previous year.
 
Jindal Steel, Torrent Pharma & Great Offshore Q2 results 01-NOV-09
Naveen Jindal-promoted Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL) today reported a 6.04 per cent rise in net profit for the second quarter at Rs 808.36 crore over the same period a year ago, mainly on account of improved performance of its power subsidiary, Jindal Power.
