"Corporate funding will ensure the film industry grows in terms of technological advancement and distribution network. Mahindras will take our films to areas where Bhojpuri films have not reached so far," Abhay Sinha of Yashi Films said.
Yashi films is the banner of noted Bhojpuri filmmaker Abhay Sinha who has produced blockbusters including 'Bandhan Toote Na', 'Pyar Ke Bandhan', 'Janam Janam Ke Saath', 'Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke' and 'Deva'.
Also, two multi-starrer films 'Khatailal Mithailal' and 'Narsanhar' are under production.
Sinha said the budget of Bhojpuri films has not exceeded Rs 1.5 crore. Corporate money will help to bring in more funds into the industry and improve the quality of films being made.
"I have even given a proposal to Anil Ambani led Reliance Entertainment to invest in Bhojpuri cinema," he added.
Sinha said Mahindras have floated their film production banner 'Mumbai Mantra Media Pvt Ltd'.
