3,000 striking contract workers at IOC's Gujarat refinery resume work

Their demands included usage of toilet blocks and provisions of proper drinking water, canteen and parking facilities

Around 3,000 contract workers, who had gone on a strike, at the Indian Oil Corporation's Gujarat Refinery located here, resumed work today.

"These workers ended their one-day strike today after the management assured to resolve their long-pending issues," P T Solanki, Deputy General Manager of the Refinery told PTI by phone.

One of the leaders of the striking workers, Mahendra Vaghela, said among the demands were usage of toilet blocks and provisions of proper drinking water, canteen and parking facilities.
