Amara Raja net down 20% at Rs 14.9 crore

The net profit of Amara Raja Batteries, industrial and automotive battery maker, fell 20 per cent at Rs 14.9 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 against Rs 17.9 crore for the same quarter last year.

However, the gross sales revenue of the company rose from around Rs 268 crore to Rs 384 crore, an increase of 43 per cent.
