Bharti Airtel's Chief Technology Officer Jagbir Singh has resigned, and Abhay Savargaonkar, currently the chief of network operations, will replace Singh as the CTO.
Singh joins the list of about 40 senior-level professionals who have quit the country's largest telecom operator since Gopal Vittal took over as the chief executive.
Savargaonkar has been working with Bharti Airtel for more than 10 years, and had worked as the CTO of Mobile business of Airtel when it was a separate business.
Bharti Airtel confirmed the development.
Singh, who had worked more than 10 years at Bharti Airtel, was also a member of the Airtel Management Board.
Bharti Airtel's regulatory and legal head Jyoti Pawar had also quit the company last month. Over the past one year, Bharti Airtel has been going through organisational restructuring, and there have been shuffling of top executives in the company.
