Cholayil plans to set up wellness centre in Vengal

Cholayil group is planning to tap foreign tourists by setting up a wellness centre on 120 acres at the herbal garden in Vengal (near Chennai) by December, 2004.
 
The company also plans to invest close to Rs 25 crore in setting up 10 'Sanjeevanam' wellness centres across India in the next three years.
 
On the sidelines of launching 'Sanjeevanam', a wellness centre in Chennai, A V Anoop, director of Cholayil group, said: "We are planning to set up a centre for ayurvedic, naturopathic and yoga treatments and naturopathy-based food for foreigners under one single roof. We are planning to tie up with five-star hotels for this purpose."
 
The cost of this wellness centre is expected to be over Rs 2.5 crore as it will cater only to foreigners. Cholayil herbal garden houses hundreds of medicinal plant species.
 
One of the objectives of the Cholayil group is to cultivate and grow herbs of specific standards. They also procure certain herbs from external sources.
 
Cholayil expects to launch its holistic wellness centre called 'Sanjeevanam' in Delhi, Bangalore and Trivandrum, in the next few months.
 
The company has also launched 'Kadalivanam', a health restaurant that serves balanced meals based on the principles of naturopathy.
 
The food is cooked without using any artificial colours, flavours, or preservative agents in bronze, copper or earthware. The restaurant also stores natural products.
