Dynamatic Technologies, the company that designs and builds highly-engineered products for automotive, aeronautic, hydraulic and security applications, is planning an investment of about $110 million (Rs 500 crore) on the aerospace park it is building near the international airport here.
The publicly held company (Rs 580 crore annual turnover) is planning to spread its investment over six yeaRs . About 25 per cent will be spent over the first 12 months. Dynamatic is setting up a modern aerospace manufacturing facility, Dynamatic Aerotropolis.
“This will facilitate the continued building of the company’s capabilities in large aerostructure assemblies, composites and complex engineering, enabling Dynamatic to emerge as a preferred strategic supplier to global tier-ones and aerospace primes,” according to Udayant Malhoutra, chief executive officer.
Phase-I of the project is slated to commence soon. It will include setting up of a sheet metal shop, a centre of excellence for complex machining and surface treatment facility for large assemblies.
Dynamatic also undertakes supply chain management for international customer.

“The company develops each supplier in the chain and have them certified to original equipment maker (OEM) standard,” says Malhoutra. Supplier ecosystems have been built and managed by Dynamatic for Northrop Grumman (F16 Radar Assemblies) and Boeing (P8I Project).
In addition to having a growing presence in defence and aerospace, Dynamatic is also a preferred supplier to many OEMs in caRs , tractoRs and earth moving equipment sectoRs . It supplies hydraulic gear pumps to 75 per cent of the tractor and construction equipment OEMs in India.
These include Mahindra & Mahindra, New Holland, Same Deutz-Fahr, Escorts, John Deere, Punjab Tracto and JCB. It also supplies automotive parts to 40 per cent of car manufactureRs in India, including Hyundai, Tata Moto and Ford.
