Firm sets up HQ in city

BS Reporter Chennai/ Bangalore

Eberspaecher Suetrak Bus Climate Control Systems India Pvt Ltd, will relocate to its new headquarters in Bangalore in January 2011. The company will be starting work in the new plant to provide a local source of supply to meet the demand for bus climate control systems in the rapidly expanding Indian market. In Bangalore, Eberspaecher Suetrak will be producing roof AC units as well as split AC units on an area of around 2,800 square metres, offering Indian customers a full range of bus air-conditioning systems.

“Our products make us leaders in the market for bus climate control systems in India. Our objective is to steadily grow our market share in India over the coming years,” said Joachim Tosstorff, General Manager of Eberspaecher Suetrak.

The company’s 50 employees in India will be supported by Eberspaecher Suetrak’s German head office in Renningen. The German HQ has worked closely together with its Indian colleagues right from the planning stage, and has supported them in both the process as a whole and in the transfer of knowledge for the new production site.

In June 2010 the Eberspaecher Group acquired the Indian bus AC business from Carrier Corp. (USA) with its head office at Gurgaon 30 km south of the capital New Delhi. The move positions Eberspaecher Suetrak as a one-stop shop for heating and cooling in the Indian bus market.
