Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd (GNFC) has posted profit at Rs 136.89 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 31, 2011 against a loss of Rs38.26 crore for the corresponding period last year.
The net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 842.34 crore against Rs 506.60 crore in the same period in the previous year, showing a jump of 66 per cent. For the financial year 2010-11 the net profit jumped by 115 per cent at Rs266.53 crore from Rs 123.84 crore against the previous year.
The net sales were up by 8.8 per cent from Rs2,614.45 crore to Rs 2,845.89 crore. H V Patel, MD, GNFC informed that the board has recommended a dividend of Rs 3.25 per equity share of Rs10 each to the shareholders for the year ended March 31, 2011.
