JSW Techno Projects Management Ltd, a JSW Group firm, has signed definitive agreements to acquire 49 per cent equity shares of Brahmani River Pellets Ltd (BRPL) from Aryan Mining & Trading Corporation Pvt Ltd (AMTC).
AMTC holds 100 per cent stake in BRPL, which is one of the assets of Stemcor India Ltd, the Indian arm of the UK-based and Oppenheimer-family controlled Stemcor Holdings Ltd. BRPL operates a four million tonnes per annum (mtpa) pellet plant at Jajpur, 4.7 mtpa iron ore beneficiation unit at Barbil, along with a 230-km slurry pipeline connecting the two units, all in Odisha.
