Mumbai-based site offers health, personal care solutions online

Chemistonline.in delivers pharmaceutical formulations, personal care products, nutrition supplements and medical kits from a wide range of manufacturers

A Mumbai-based company has come up with an online solution to deliver medicines at the doorstep. Chemistonline.in delivers a spectrum of products, such as pharmaceutical formulations, personal care products, nutrition supplements and medical kits from a wide range of manufacturers.

“The portal supplies patients suffering from lifestyle diseases with medicines that are refilled at predetermined intervals by our team of pharmacists. Essentially, it assumes the role of caretaker and helps patients avoid no-stock situations,” Shweta Mehta, founder of the portal told Business Standard in a telephonic interview.

Mehta said Chemistonline.in offers more than 100,000 formulations in various therapeutic segments, personal care and other medicines. She claimed that the site's experienced pharamcists provide proper guidance on medicine and that the portal also caters to segments such as sports equipment, diabetes, homecare, wellness, personal care, elderly care, baby care, vet care and beauty products.

“To procure scheduled medicines that are sold only on doctor’s prescription, a customer needs to scan the prescription and send it online. The portal is linked with a medical store where our pharmacists examine it and supply medicines to the customer even in remote areas,” said Mehta, “This way we are helping patients who have difficulty in getting some medicines.”
