Padmanabhan appointed as Executive Chairman of TQMS
Appointment to the post will be effective from July 1
Tata Sons today said it has appointed S Padmanabhan as Executive Chairman of Tata Quality Management Services (TQMS).
Padmanabhan's appointment to the post will be effective from July 1 and he will be reporting to group chairman Cyrus P Mistry, a release said here.
Padmanabhan will be responsible for driving the business excellence journey across the group companies globally, the release said, adding this role will be integral to group initiatives in enhancing the performance of Tata companies through diagnostics, benchmarking and sharing best practices.
At present Padmanabhan is the executive director for operations at Tata Power since 2008, the release added. Padmanabhan has been with the Tata group for over 32 years, after starting his career with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
