The Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises is keen on examining the reasons that made Air India lose its market share, and it has written to the civil aviation ministry in this regard.
“We have written to the Ministry of Civil Aviation that we would like to examine Air India (now National Aviation Company of India Ltd, or Nacil). The panel has the power to examine cases of public sector enterprises suo motu. It would like to examine why Nacil lost its market share,” Nitish Sengupta, chairman of the board, said.
