PlaceofOrigin.in raises funding from Axilor

PlaceofOrigin.in, an online gourmet food market place, on Wednesday announced its first round of funding through Axilor's scale-up funding programme. Axilor Ventures, a new-generation platform for supporting early stage entrepreneurs, was founded by S D Shibulal, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Srinath Batni, Tarun Khanna and Ganapathy Venugopal.

Venugopal, chief executive, Axilor, said, "The rapidly growing gourmet food industry provides a large market opportunity.
