Raymond to invest Rs 200 cr in new products

Leading textile manufacturer Raymond Ltd today said it plans to invest Rs 200 crore for launching new products this year.
The market share of the company has risen by 20% over the previous fiscal to 50%, while the overall sales crossed Rs 2,000 crore, Raymond Vice-President (Emerging Business) Ram Bhatnagar told reporters here, on the sidelines of launching new economy brand 'Makers'.
Bhatnagar said the launch of Makers label marks the beginning of a new era of perfect and fashionable outfits for those who don't have the luxury of a bandwagon of stylists and designers attending to their wardrobes.
"We believe that in addition to a quality fabric, it is necessary for customers to have a good guide to enable them make a fashionable outfit," he said.
