Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company (SPARC) today reported a net profit of Rs 9.51 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.
The company had posted a net loss of 18.32 crore for the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, SPARC said in a statement.
Total income of the company rose to Rs 35.67 crore for the quarter under consideration from Rs 6.38 crore from the same period year ago.
SPARC was demerged from Sun Pharma as a pharma research and drug discovery company in 2007.
Shares of Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company were today trading at Rs 128.30 apiece in the afternoon trade on BSE, down 5% from their previous close.
