Srini Raju In Media Venture

Guess what former Satyam Computer director and founder of iLabs Srini Raju is doing currently? No, he is not building another tech company. Instead, he is launching a media venture.
Called iVision, the venture is claimed to be a combination of an electronic news agency and a Telugu satellite television channel.
The agency plans to provide news, video footage and pictures to TV channels, newspapers, radio and news portals.

Though Srini does not reveal the investment figures, sources say he is pumping in huge investments into the venture and pinned his hopes on the venture to become a flagship for the group.
By end of the current fiscal, iVision plans to have presence in over 100 centers across the country and plans to be in about 200 centers by end of 2004. Sources also say that iVision has plans to launch a Telugu satellite television channel.
Meanwhile Srini signed a MoU with Jurong Consultants group of Singapore today to build a new campus with an investment of Rs 85 crore.
