Japanese carmaker Toyota is keen to extend the hybrid technology to smaller and affordable vehicles in India. Its current hybrid offerings include two top-end luxury sedans, Camry and Prius.
“In future, we want to introduce smaller hybrids and complete our hybrid line-up. So, you will see a change in portfolio,” Akito Tachibana, managing director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, told Business Standard.
Last week, the company introduced the hybrid Prius in India, its second hybrid vehicle after the Camry.
