Automobile manufacturer TVS Motor Company has posted a growth of 21.8% growth in sales during October, 2014, as against the same month of previous year. Exports of the company grew by 50.5% to 34,855 units during the month, compared to 23,154 units during October, last year.
The company has posted sales of 2,41,044 units in the month of October 2014, as against sales of 1,97,905 units for the same month, last year. Two wheeler sales recorded growth of 22% to 2,31,990 units for the month, as against 1,89,979 units during October, previous month.
Scooter sales saw an increase of 67.5% to 70,571 units during October, this year, as compared to 42,124 units during October 2013. Motorcycles sale grew by 10.2% at 90,779 units, compared to 82,352 units during the same month of previous year. Domestic two wheeler sales witnessed an increase of 17.9% to 2,04,294 units as against 1,73,229 units.
Two wheeler exports grew by 65.3%, at 27,696 units during the month compared to 16,750 units during October, last year. Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 14.2%, to 9,054 units in October 2014, growing from 7,926 units during October, last year.
