United Spirits names ex-Diageo Chief to its board

United Spirits said it appointed B S R & Co as statutory auditors of the company

United Spirits Ltd said it has appointed ex-Diageo Chief Executive Paul Steven Walsh to its Board, as advisor to the Chairman and CEO. The company also named Vikram Singh Mehta, who serves on the boards of Colgate Palmolive India Ltd, Mahindra and Mahindra, Vodafone India and Larsen and Toubro, as an independent director. Both appointments are effective August 19, 2013.

 

United Spirits said it appointed B S R & Co. as the statutory auditors of the company, replacing Walker, Chandiok & Co. for the financial year 2013-14.
