AMU student shot at by bikers, purse and mobile phone snatched
Mohammad Hasan was rushed to medical college hospital where his condition was stated to be stable
An undergraduate student of Aligarh Muslim Univesity (AMU) was shot at by motorcycle-borne persons who snatched his purse and phone near Dodhpur Market in Civil Lines area here, police said today.
Mohammad Hasan was shot at by some persons, who snatched his mobile phone and purse yesterday night, they said.
He was rushed to the medical college hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable.
A case has been registered against six persons as the victim who is a resident of Alam Hall, AMU, has identified the attackers, police said.
The victm has said that he had seen the attackers earlier in the area.
As news of the incident spread, a large crowd of students gathered at the hospital and raised slogans, demanding arrest of the assailants.
