Edward Snowden is on twitter, and thats no mystery. With more that 842 thousand followers, 81 thousand favorites and 90 thousand retweets of his opener, the much-hunted whistleblower electrified the social media within hours of his debut.

The response to Snowden's opening tweet was so massive, Twitter compiled an infographic illustrating the impact the crispy oneline had on social media across the world.

But the opening tweet is ofcourse the tip of an iceberg to come. Snowden made his intentions clear, when he chose to follow a single twitter handle, which was none other than that of the US National Security Agency/Central Security Service. Suffice to say, Snowden chose to follow what 'follows' everyone else.
Snowden's current followers include Indian politicians like Omar Abdullah, journalists like Shekhar Gupta and academic scholars among others.
