J&K Police start crowdfunding to raise funds for families of martyred SPOs

The fund will be utilised towards the welfare of the families of the slain 499 SPOs

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday kickstarted a crowdfunding campaign for providing financial assistance to the families of 499 special police officers (SPOs) who were killed fighting militancy in the state.

Director General of Police S P Vaid kicked off the social media crowdfunding campaign at 8 am on Twitter with the hashtag #martyredSPOs, a police official said.
