PM, Mamata attend science conference

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee shared a stage on Thursday at the 100th Indian Science Congress here, which was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee. Singh advocated a science-based value-system. Banerjee requested the scientific community to look into issues plaguing the underprivileged.
