A reality check on growth projections

Economic surveys have gone woefully wrong in predicting the gross domestic product growth from the third year of the UPA-II rule. The surveys more or less projected the economic growth correctly for the first two years of the Manmohan Singh government in its second stint. However, these could not do so for 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
