AIADMK has sought the intervention of the Union Home Ministry to prevent "economic offences taking place" in the Union Territory making use of lesser sales tax for various commodities including petrol, diesel and LPG cylinder here.

This was less than what was prevailing&nbsp; in neighbouring states of Tamilnadu, Andhra and Kerala, he said.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>There were several petrol bunks in the union territory and the quantum of fuel meant to some of the bunks were reaching the destination fully as he alleged, that the bunk owners were disposing the fuel in the neighbouring state limits causing heavy loss to the state exchequer. </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
