Dilip Patel (48), a BJP MLA of the Anand constituency, was shot at by unidentified assailants late on Saturday night at Jor.

Three rounds were fired at his Toyota Qualis car, but none of the four occupants of the car were injured. Brijesh Patel, son of the MLA, later lodged a complaint with the Vallabh Vidyanagar police station.

Dilip Patel told Business Standard that he was going from Nadiad to Karamsad and was accompanied by his son Brijesh (27) and two friends Rashmin Patel and Kalpesh Patel.
