Divestment Ministry Trashes Monopolistic Fears

The disinvestment ministry has reiterated that there could be no concept of a monopoly in production in a free market and strategic sale of state-owned companies gets the government better returns against the proposal of dispersing the public wealth across a wider spectrum of investors as suggested by defence minister and Samata Party leader George Fernandes.
