The Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) debt limit auction for government bonds sailed smoothly on Monday as the total market demand was worth Rs 813 crore compared with the amount available for auction for Rs 310 crore.

More favourable view on Indian economy and business environment, the risk premium for Indian papers began to climb down.
In mid-April the spread or the difference in yields between the 10-year G-sec and 10-year US treasury was 642 basis points which has now come down to 595 basis points.
