Fm Asks Cbec To Try To Meet Indirect Tax Target

Finance minister Yashwant Sinha today asked the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) to strive for achieving the indirect tax collection budget estimate target for 2001-02.

The target for customs and excise duty collection in the current fiscal is pegged at Rs 1,36,542 crore.
