When asked to comment on whether politicians should also have a retirement age, BJP leader Arun Jaitley observed that though young elected representatives were all over the media after the general elections, they have not made any meaningful interventions in Parliament. “It is good that the Central Hall (of Parliament) looks like a college canteen but they need to make positive contributions,” said Jaitley. “Most of them (young MPs) are there because of their surnames and that is more dangerous.”
