India, Denmark to cooperate on clear projects

The Union Cabinet, which met today, approved a proposal of the Environment and Forests Ministry to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Denmark, which has both technology and financial research to address environmental issues, Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters here.

He said Denmark had come forward to cooperate with India in the field of clean development mechanism projects. This would facilitate exchange of information between the designated national authorities of both countries to work on such environment-friendly projects.
