India Inc remembers YSR Reddy as visionary

India Inc today condoled the death of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YSR Reddy, who died in an air crash, saying the nation has lost a visionary and an inspiring leader.

Industry chamber CII said with the passing away of Reddy, fondly called YSR by the industry and political circles, the nation has lost a visionary, inspiring and motivating leader.

"During his tenure as the Chief Minister, the state has made remarkable achievements in industrial development and ...(a) recent World Bank Report also acknowledged Andhra Pradesh as one of the best states for doing business," CII President Venu Srinivasan said in a statement today.

 

Ficci President Harsh Pati Singhania said, "His untimely and tragic death was big blow to the state and the Congress Party as under his dynamic leadership the state was making steady progress on all fronts."

Singhania also said, Reddy steered Andhra Pradesh into one of the premier industrial hubs of the country.

Industry body Assocham said the industrial development of the state took place due to his investment friendly policies, which resulted in a lot of domestic and overseas investments.

"Indian Inc will greatly miss him," Assocham President Sajjan Jindal said.
