Indicom To Set Up 50 More Sdcas In Karnataka

Tata Indicom, the telecom services division of the Tata group will roll out 50 more SDCAs (Short Distance Charging Area) by the middle of this year apart from the current five SDCAs located in Bangalore, Mangalore, Hubli, Mysore and Mandya.

This would be followed by rollout of more SDCAs in a phased manner. SDCAs in Belgaum and Shimoga are to be launched soon. The company earmarked Rs 1,000-crore investment over the next six years and hopes to be cash positive by the third year of operations. It launched services on November 12, 2002.
