IWDP to be extended till Rafaibad: Mir

"Rafiabad area has been brought under the ambit of IWDP at a cost of Rs 40 crore which would transform the entire socio-economic profile of the area," Mir said at a function in Rafiabad area yesterday.     

He said an additional amount of Rs 7 crore would be spent in the constituency through command area development department.     

 

The minister also announced construction of an irrigation water storage reservoir with a storage capacity of 70 cubic feet at a cost of Rs 7.50 crore at Starwan. The reservoir would provide irrigation facilities to the command area under Warnu Khul, he added.     

He also gave a detailed account of various water supply schemes and roads and bridges being constructed in the area. About Rs 14 crore have been sanctioned for some major and important bridges in Rafiabad constituency, he added.
