Modi against curb on social media by GOI

As a mark of protest against the Union government's decision to block accounts on micro-blogging site Twitter and social networking site Facebook, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday changed his profile picture to a black image.

"As a common man, I join the protest against crackdown on freedom of speech! Have changed my DP. Sabko Sanmati De Bhagwan," Narendra Modi wrote on his Twitter account and changed his profile picture.

The Union government had already ordered blocking of 310 webpages.
