PFC gets Power Enabler Award 2008

Power Finance Corporation (PFC), India’s largest power sector financier, has been given the “Most Admired Company-Power Enabler Award” for the year 2008.

The company received the award from Montek Singh Ahluwalia, chairman of the Planning Commission.

Ahluwalia said that PFC had shown a growth of 50 per cent in its disbursements during the first half of the current financial year inspite of the overall downward trend in the global and Indian economy.

The company’s disbursements had grown by 15 per cent in the same period last year.
