Selloff Deadlock Resolved

The government today resolved the impasse over the disinvestment of public sector oil companies just two days before the expiry of the three-month deadline. The Cabinet Committee on Disinvestment will meet shortly to formalise the route to be adopted for sale of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL).
