State government has re-launched its ambitious "Aao Bihar" scheme for investors facing land troubles. This time the authorities are banking on wider public awareness for its success. Earlier the scheme, which was launched in July, 2011, failed to provide any relief to entrepreneurs.
"We have brought this policy with a new face," said one of the officials of the state government, "and we hope that this time we will be able to get greater response. Earlier, we could not succeed due to lack of awareness. Therefore, we are now planning to publicize this policy on a wider scale. District administrations will be made aware of this scheme thoroughly." "It is a very good policy," Industries Department Principal Secretary Naveen Verma told Business Standard a few days ago, "but lack of awareness created hurdles in our way. Leave alone the landowners, not many officials of the state government knew about this scheme.
