Out of the red now and back in the black after stellar victories in three state elections, including a spectacular showing in Chhattisgarh, the Congress is embracing the win with sober grace, conscious that it can’t defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on its own in 2019 and it needs alliance partners.
