Bank of India Q3 net grows 61% to Rs 653 cr

State-owned lender Bank of India (BOI) today reported 61.07 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 653.16 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.

It had posted a net profit of Rs 405.5 crore in the year-ago period.

The bank's total income rose to Rs 5,115.76 crore during October-December, 2010 from Rs 5,057.83 crore in the comparable period of last year, Bank of India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

For the first nine months of the current fiscal, BOI's net profit grew 51.92 per cent to Rs 1,995.07 crore, from Rs 1,313.16 crore in the same period last fiscal, it added.

 

The state lender's shares are trading at Rs 450, up up 3.85 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
